Events that break the rules on driving, working and breaking times are listed under the Driver Infringements section. These notifications are sorted into three levels of severity:

  • Very Serious
  • Serious
  • Minor

The classification is based on EU (and GB domestic) driving and rest time regulations.

Analyse infringement

To view the infringement in further detail, click on the infringement in the list. A detailed page opens, showing a graph view and the activity table with all selections on the drivers card.

Example:

A red block marks the period of the infringement. Hover over the red area and select it to zoom in on the relevant timeframe.

Below the graph, you'll find a more detailed activity log from the records on the tachograph driver card. Activities related to the infringement are marked in red (line) and the left side of your infringement page.

To be as effective as possible when reviewing driver infringements, you can use the filter options to focus on the information that matters most. At the top of the page, use the date filter to select the time period you want to review.

You can also choose to show or hide specific types of infringements using the available checkboxes:

1) Warnings

2) Drive/rest time infringements

3) Working time infringements

Driver infringement letter

In the general Driver infringements overview, you can generate a driver infringement letter for each driver. This letter informs the driver about the infringements recorded in their name.

Let both the driver and the (transport) manager sign the letter. Keep a copy in your records, this provides proof during audits.

You can download a letter for an individual driver, multiple drivers within a category and for a selected period. Additional options are:

  • Show Working Time infringements
  • Show all driver activities
  • Include warnings in the letter

Infringement letters can always be downloaded. If it's easier for your operations, you can automate these letters using the FleetGO scheduler. Learn how to set this up here: Weekly Infringement letter

How to process infringements

After reviewing the infringement, adding a note and signing the infringement letter, you have the option to process the infringement in FleetGO. This will clear it from your main infringements overview and move it to the background, allowing you to keep track of it while focusing on any remaining infringements that still require attention.

Click Set to processed in the top left corner.

After reviewing an infringement, you can click on Edit to add a note with more details, such as; a deatoled explained about what caused the infringement, what was discussed with the driver and which action was taken.
