Within the FleetGO platform you can navigate via Production to your Trips overview. In this overview you will find different columns including deviation percentage. In this article we will explain how this percentage is calculated.

How is deviation calculated?

The FleetGO system calculates the shortest route between the start location and end location. The difference between the route travelled and the calculated route is expressed as a percentage. The more you deviate from the calculated route the higher the deviation percentage.

Deviation percentage is significantly high

The percentage of deviation can be significantly high when the start location and end location are close together. For example when you travel a route in which you make a stop and the engine has kept idling. If you continue your route back to the location of your starting point the deviation percentage will be significantly high.

Tip: View the routeplanner distance by clicking on one of your trips. The routeplanner distance can be found on the right side under the Map
