Location Import

This article will explain how you can import multiple location into your FleetGO system. Locations are plotted on the map. Another function for using the locations are exporting reports. For example if you want an overview over how many times and how long a vehicle has been on a certain location. You can also use locations for automatically assigning trip kinds like: private/business/commute. 

Import locations

1. Navigate to Production and click on Locations
2. Hit the Import button
3. Upload your CSV file
4. Click the red Import button

Save as

Please save the file as UTF-8 (8-bit Unicode Transformation Format) before uploading.

Restrictions

Please follow next restrictions:

1. You can import up to 500 locations simultaneously.
2. The file must be filled in exactly as described in the CSV file. It is important to pay attention to the mandatory fields and the requirements of the different columns.
3. No mailboxes can be filled as they can not be found on the map.
4. Locations can not be placed on top of each other. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the radius when you enter locations that are close to each other. For example, if you enter a radius of 200 meters, and the addresses are within 200 meters of each other, the first filled-in location will always be linked. This is not controlled by FleetGO.

If you want to make sure you use the right columns in your import, we advice you to download the example. In this example we show you which columns need to be filled in. You can not leave fields empty or delete fields, this leads to an error by the upload process. Please find an explanation of the columns below:

• Code (required): If you want to assign a (recognizable) number to a location, you can enter it in this field. The code must be unique and cannot occur more than once.
• Description (required): Text, max. 80 characters
• Contact (optional): Text, max. 80 characters
• Group Code (optional): Numeric, group code as entered in FleetGO
• Client (optional): Text, max. 100 characters
• Project Number (optional): If you use project numbers internally, you could add them to the location. Numeric
• Project Manager (optional): Numeric, user code as entered in FleetGO
• Location Type (required): Business, Private, Office, Residence, Gas Station
• Trip Type Code (optional): Numeric, trip type code as entered in FleetGO
• Country ISO-2 Code (required): Text, 2-letter country code
• City Name (required): Text, max. 50 characters
• Address (required): Text, max. 100 characters
• Postal Code (required): Text, max. 10 characters
• Radius in meters (required): number
• Comments (optional): Text, max. 150 characters
