A company card enables the remote download of vehicle and driver cards. The company card serves as the access authorisation for the files on the tachograph. This article will explain the meaning of Company Cards and it will describe the shipping process.
Company Cards
A company card has a validity of 5 years. This period is shown on the card itself and on this page. In the latter case, a one-time download must be performed. When the validity has expired, downloads can no longer be performed.
Before a tachograph is used a company card must be inserted in the tachograph. From that moment on the tachograph is supposed to be blocked for this company card. From this point on, a download is only possible with this company card or a copy of this company card. This is to ensure the privacy of businesses. Should the owner of the tachograph change his owner, the new owner can not download data from the old owner.
Company Card Copy
Since a tachograph always needs to be locked with a company card, the original card must remain with the company itself. We need to host a copy at the FleetGO office, so we are authorized to download tachograph data. The company may also have several copies in order to register several vehicles at the same time.

Customs Declaration Form
Since something has to be sent from the UK to the Netherlands, it is necessary to stick a Customs Declaration form on the package. In attachment of this article you will find a blank Customs Declaration form which you can print out. Below find an example of how to fill in this form. Please consider the following steps:
- Indicate your (company name) and address
- Tick the box that it is a 'gift' or 'documents'
- Indicate that it is a 'Tacho card' and has a value of '£0'
- Indicate the date and mention your signature
Way of Sending
Please send the card with either DHL (fastest) or DPD to be sure that we’ll get the card as soon as possible. Royal Mail is also possible, but takes a little bit longer. Please choose to send the card with recorded delivery (tracking).
Tracking number / link
It is very important for us to get a tracking number/link in order to keep an eye on your sending.
We won’t know when the card is going to be delivered without the tracking number.
